This helmet has arrived and we are pleased to announce that it will be available to view, handle and pre-order at Balingup Medieval Festival on August 22nd.
The Barbute helmet is one of the most beautifully lined helmets to come from the workshops of Italy.
This T-Faced example is elegant and robust and provides a striking appearance on the field. The edges are re-infored with steel bar in order to protect the structural integrity of the piece.
Made from 14 gauge steel it is sure to last many adventures.
This piece has equipped a leather lining chin strap and suspension padding, which is adjustable to comfort and size.
We are still waiting the pair to the Barbute shown here. The next barbute will be an open face design and have fine rolled edges to enhance the structural integrity of the piece as well as suffusing it with an elegance and grace synonymous with the early Renaissance.
It will come with a one inch barred faceplate suitable for SCA.
