Modular Bascinet Faceplates

Product Description
1) Barred grill. More common than you would think (we can show you the period manuscript evidence). The barred grill provides protection with unhampered visibility. The gaps are 3/4 inch wide (1.9cm). Excellent for all manner of re-creation combat. The Bars are made from 5mm steel bar.
2) Shovel nose faceplate. Excellent for foot combat, provides superior glancing surfaces. Very popular with re-enactors today for that reason. Fearsome to behold on the field, it's wearer will be judged to be a professional.
3) Pigface faceplate. This is THE quintessential look from the Hundred years war, the peak of design and the envy of those who we unfortunate enough not to be able to afford it.
Its superior glancing surfaces and narrow eye slots provide state-of-the-art (for the 14th C) protection from lances and swords. Even today this helmet SCREAMS medieval knight and no-one wearing this is left to explain their reasons for owning one of the defining icons of history.
The metal plate parts of these faceplates are made from robust 14 gauge (1.63mm) Mild Steel that has been finely polished.
