This elegant wrought iron hand ring has no function but to serve of the beauty of metal and the skill of the smith that made it.

This is of a type common from the late iron age through to the early medieval period and would have at mystical properties and well as it's plain beauty.

In the Iron Age Iron was considered to be a sacred metal as valuable in its own right. Mainly due to the process used to transform rock (iron ore) into iron was/is a strange and known only to a few.

This hand made ring is made to grace a lady's wrist. Its twisting bands are serpentine in form and its ends cunningly crafted.
