These are an example of legs producted in the 15th Century. The advantage of a steel cuisse is extra protection against thrust weapons as they will tend to slide off rather than stick.
We would recommend using our padded cuisses behind these legs as extra padding will soften impact of striking weapons.
They are similar to our 15th Century knees, except they have a full upper cuisse and a larger demi-greeve.
The knee cop and lames are made from robust 16 gauge (1.6mm) steel that has been highly polished, the result is closer to 1.2mm (18 Gauge), the cuisse is made from 16 gauge (1.2mm) and comes as a pair.
